Albon Business Consulting was founded by Nigel Albon who has worked for many years in both the public and private sectors.

 

Nigel’s career started in the merchant navy where he spent 5 years travelling across the Atlantic ocean to the Americas and many a trip through both the Panama & Suez canal.  This experience introduced him to many different and interesting people with varied perspectives on life. 

 

On leaving the sea he started a career in operational management in the Building Industry,  (Plant Hire and Builder’s Merchants). Following successive promotions from Plant Fitter to Regional Manager he decided to take a leap of faith and leave employment to study a formal degree in Accounting and Business Information.

 

After graduation he cemented his new knowledge by working for a global Facilities Management company in accountancy and contracts management.  He then joined one of the “Big Four” in their management consulting arm where he spent seven enjoyable years working in the public and private sectors undertaking such diverse assignments as ICT benchmarking, project and programme management, business strategy and benefits realisation principally operating at board level. 

 

Nigel then took a Directorship with a company specialising in project and business methodologies routed in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP).  Having advised so many businesses over the years, the call eventually became too strong to resist and he set-up Albon Business Consulting in 2008.  Nigel still tries to be the first point of contact but is also supported by a highly experienced team and associate network of industry and subject matter experts.
